Miriam Gutekunst is a cultural anthropologist currently based at the University of Munich. As part of her dissertation project, she did research in Morocco on migration, borders and the meaning of love and marriage in this context. Her main interests are critical migration and border regime research, postcolonial theory and gender studies. She is part of the Critical Migration and Border Regime Research Laboratory.
Aside from her research she is interested in the process of writing, especially ethnographic writing as an interface between academic and journalistic writing.
